Sex Positive Speed Dating Online

Sex Positive folx can enjoy speed dating with us - make mates, not dates/ non-gendered partnering/ sex positive space/ body positive/ fun

We're taking our much loved Sex Positive Speed Dating online to help sex positive folx get connected in lovely ways.

Don't you hate speed dating? People move around asking the same questions over and over again and then comes the pressure to choose someone at the end of the evening. It all feels just a *little bit* forced. So we decided to throw the rules out of the window and create something entirely new and fun. Here's what we came up with:

Make mates, not dates: when we're trying really hard to get a date, we all start to act a bit weird, so let's focus on making friends and then take it from there (if you want to?) with no pressure whatsoever! It's far more relaxed for everyone! You can't have fun if you're always thinking about meeting THE ONE!

Non-gendered pairings: we know that gender is a spectrum and that some people don't identify as men or women, so we're randomly going to decide who gets to meet who.

Sex positive: this means that we celebrate sex and sexuality in all its forms in a shame-free environment. We want sexual freedom for everyone! This includes being LGBTQ+ friendly, kink friendly, poly friendly and generally...friendly!

Body positive: all bodies are beautiful and welcome!

Consent & Boundaries: the easiest way to have a good time is to establish shared values and we really care about everyone feeling comfortable and safe during the event. Therefore, we will start with a short consent and boundaries workshop, where attendance is mandatory.

FUN: don't worry, we've got this one covered, we're just letting you know what to expect :)

Timings:

Zoom Room Opens: 8 pm

Start time: 8:10 pm (no entry after this)

Finish time: 9:30 pm

Sexuali-Tea Online - Self Love and Solo Sex for Valentine's Day

We love talking about sex positivity and we love a good cup of tea, so we have combined the two into a social event to safely discuss sex positive themes.

For this pre-Valentine’s Day chit-chat we are going to be focusing on self love and solo sex. So let’s forget about candlelit dinners for two and embrace an evening discussing sensual delights for you by you. Let’s share our favourite tips and tricks in a non-shaming, sex-positive space. Let’s resist the commercialism and pressure of the season and celebrate each of our unique selves in style! With tea!

This is a safe, inclusive space to share what's going on in our world, building community and connecting with others. Boundaries and consent are super important to us and you will not be required to share anything you're not comfortable sharing.

We look forward to meeting you,

Sex & Mental Health Discussion Group

Continuing our Thursday evening Sex Positive Event series, this week we are joined by Kim Loliya who will be leading a discussion group talking about sex and mental health at 8-9:30 p.m (UK time).

As 1 in 4 people will be impacted by mental health difficulties each year - and these are old stats, it is likely worse in the current climate - we wanted to create a forum for folx to discuss this important topic in a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space. As it says in the photo, 'you are not alone' and it can really help to listen or share with others who have similar experiences. Here you will find support as well as ideas and tips to help. Register below!

Artists Self Publisher's Fair - sex+ and humanzine

sex+ - a magazine sharing real stories and rewriting narratives about sex. Come to our store to see the magazine, buy the magazine, hear readings and participate in discussions and workshops (see timetable).

humanzine - an interactive zine experience designed to mimic the Human Library in zine form. Choose the humanzine that you want to read from a library of zines. Sit with the creator to interrogate their story, co-creating the narrative of the zine as they jot down the details from the particular chapters of their experience that you have chosen. Create a zine (or two) and then be read in the workshop followed by reading session at 3 p.m.

Instagram: @human_zine

Schedule for the Sex+ and humanzine Zoom room:-

(Not suitable for those under 18 years old)

The space will be kept safe - people shaming others, behaving inappropriately or displaying disrespectful behaviour will be asked to leave. All sessions will be facilitated by Phil Moore, an experienced integrative therapist and somatic sex educator, also editor of sex+ magazine.

2pm Open for business - come in for selected readings from the sex+ magazine. Also an opportunity to purchase sex+ magazine at a special low ASP price of £6.50 (including P&P).

3pm humanzine workshop - the sex positive edit.  First you will create your own humanzine(s), then you will read or be read by others.

We will be using the vehicle of the humanzine to get real about issues that we have encountered around sexuality in our lives. This is a forum for sharing not shaming.  Materials needed - A4 paper, pens, marker pens (optional), string. You are welcome even if you don't have the materials, we'll help you improvise or you can be a reader.

4pm Sexuality Tea - Bring your cuppa for a round table discussion prompted by random dips into sex+ magazine. Pop in or hang out for the duration.

5pm Ask the Sexpert Q&A - Bring your questions, get them answered. As a sexpert I get asked lots of questions, whether at an event or picking up a few bits in Sainsbury's, I've pretty much heard it all in the weirdest of places. Every question is unique but there are some underlying themes so we can explore them here. Due ot poor sex education, societal shame and feeling that you're the only person with 'that' problem, there is a lot of agonising and misinformation about sexuality which causes much unhappiness. Bring your own questions or listen as I address some common themes like - what to do if there is something 'wrong' with your body, how to increase pleasure, desire and orgasmic capacity, how to have difficult conversations about sex, how to ask for (and get) what you want. If you want to submit a question anonymously before the event, just submit it to me at philmooretherapy@gmail.com

6pm Open for business - come in for selected readings from the sex+ magazine. Also an opportunity to purchase sex+ magazine at a special low ASP price of £6.50 (including P&P).

Sex+ Presents: The Orgasm Gap

Sex+ Presents: The Orgasm Gap

We are back for our second panel debate of the year, this time exploring The Orgasm Gap in the run up to Valentine's Day! According to a study conducted last year by Durex almost 75% of women in the Netherlands do not orgasm during sex, whereas only 28% of men say they don’t always climax during sex. Studies have also found that comparatively women orgasm more in lesbian relationships and when masturbating alone. This so-called "orgasm inequality" in heterosexual couples is a real phenomenon, which is affecting intimacy, relationships and the wellbeing of many worldwide. Our panel experts will be sharing their knowledge and offering practical solutions to narrow the gap and bring more pleasure to all.

***Marti Birch***

Marti is a passionate facilitator, mentor and feminist, working internationally in the field of sexuality since 2013. She loves to create spaces and situations where we can explore our depths and our limits, preferably while having a really great time! Her ongoing fascination in power, consent and equality has inspired her latest project, Sound of Birch, where women bring the ethos behind what they learn in the bedroom into everyday life. Marti has helped many women nurture their own power and take more control of their lives. Her personal story has inspired her quest to help others to contribute to the world with their power and their vulnerability, their wisdom and their authenticity.

***Goddess Qadesh***

A lifestyle and Professional Dominatrix doing sessions online, in real time, as well as many other things! Qadesh provides a wide spectrum of services to create fulfulling client sessions for everyone involved, never doing anything that isn't enjoyable. The control given by clients and slaves is a precious gift and leaves a delightful taste in the mind.

***Majeste***

Majaeste has been a presence in the kink scene for a fair few years now, from hosting workshops to running events. She believes passionately in dispelling the myths and fallacies often perpetuated about female dominance and submission. As likely to be seen poised on a throne surrounded by kneeling women as in the centre of the crowd gesticulating to the point of drink spillage, she likes to challenge the assumption that dominance always takes a certain form.

  • Core Skills in Lovemaking
  • Going from good to great
  • Shame-free Q&A
